Welcome to Cobbled!

Oh, my friends. Oh, I am so excited. 
Here we are, standing at the edge of this new venture, one that has been a decade in the making, and I just am so thrilled that we finally have a place to share all of our passions and experiences and interests with a wider audience. A place to post my writings! A YouTube channel for traditional songs and how-to videos! A store, offering not only our handmade goods, but also products we have been using and believing in for years! This is a dream come true. Even if this blog post and this lovely website (with which I had very, very minimal involvement in making) only fall into the void and are never seen by a single pair of eyes, I still feel like WE DID IT. 

So, Martin and I have this daughter. Well, we have five daughters, but we have this one particularly vocal daughter, who has been after us for a few years now, telling us in a very critical tone that we don't follow our dreams. At first we reacted with, "oh, yeah, ha-ha, we are just dreamers." But after awhile of her keeping on about it, we started to consider the fact that maybe we aren't really following our dreams. We talk a big talk to our kids about following their hearts and mindfully setting forth into their futures, making sure they do something that makes them happy, make sure they have skills and songs and passions of their own to take into the world with them when they fly the nest, but what about us, as parents? Have we just felt like we are too old to take action on a new dream? 

Well, WE'RE NOT. So, here we are. We offer to you: COBBLED! A space for sharing and learning and pursuing. Welcome!
